Amanda Duperron, ARNP

I was born and raised on Guemes Island. I completed my nursing degree at Skagit Valley College and started my career as a registered nurse locally. I gained experience working inpatient care at the hospital, peri-operative nursing, and cancer care, which was the most rewarding. I then earned my bachelor’s and master’s degrees with a specialty as a family nurse practitioner. I am board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

I value building relationships based on mutual trust and creating a plan with my patients that strives to meet their goals. As a relationally driven person, I find the most satisfaction when treating beyond the physical ailments and encouraging others to be part of health decisions. I have found a passion for women’s health and intend to further my education in this specialty so I can address the needs of women’s bodies and menopause care.

Like all millennials, I have found a love for the outdoors. Hiking, backpacking, and kayaking (in the San Juans, of course) are my favorite summer adventures, while attempting to stay upright on the ski slopes is my favorite winter activity. I enjoy raising my teenage daughter who does competitive dance, and my son who keeps me on my toes and continues to fine tune my parenting skills.
