Carmen Terpstra, ARNP

I’m proud to have grown up in the fertile Skagit Valley. I’m an immigrant’s daughter and spent much of my childhood tending to animals, playing in the Samish River and working on our dairy farm. It’s there I experienced firsthand the true joys and sacrifices of working in agriculture. Once old enough, I followed my own dream of nursing and have spent nearly 20 years working in the medical field.

I obtained my nursing degree from Skagit Valley College in 2010. I advanced my studies and earned my bachelor’s degree in nursing from University of Washington in 2011 followed by my master’s degree in nursing from Frontier Nursing University in 2023.

I spent more than a decade of my career focused on obstetrics and empowering parents as they welcomed their babies into the world at a local birthing center. I’m excited to enter family care to build relationships with whole families and experience health challenges and wins together. I am passionate about meeting people where they are at, helping them feel safe and offering evidence-based options that meet each person’s goals and needs.

In my personal time, I love cutting and arranging flowers and getting cozy with my husband and three children. I’m learning to eat a plant-based diet and enjoy walks with our dog. I hold sacred my time spent in the community with family, friends and various women’s groups which help restore and nourish my soul. I look forward to meeting you.
